  • "Aekyung Kim is truly the most amazing teacher I've had the pleasure of learning from. When I first contacted her I was at a mostly-beginner level, and I didn't believe I could pursue classical music as a career. Within less than four years I went from playing songs from Suzuki Book 1 to taking youth orchestra auditions, performing in masterclasses, and learning professional-level pieces like Bach Suite 2 and the Walton Viola Concerto. I don't believe I'd have been able to achieve such a high level in a short amount of time with any other teacher. Aekyung is encouraging, explains things easily, and has valuable insight and experience into classical music as a career/field of study.   • "Adult online student review here: I studied music in college (but never strings), and I've never had online music lessons until now. The remote lessons are comparable to in person lessons and it's easy to stay in touch between lessons if needed. I appreciate the attention to detail for technique, and the pace of introduction of new skills is good/appropriate. The lessons go by fast, the assignments are not boring, and I've seen a tremendous improvement in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!"
